I am Daniel Schoettelkotte, a sophmore majoring in CIS. I chose this class because I needed to fulfill the ethics portion of my philospohy requisites, and wanted a class that focused on discussion as opposed to lectures. This class seemed to fit the notion and the Biomedical field seemed interesting, so I thought I'd give this class a try.
Don't know why my comment got deleted, I'm would like to pursue a career in the programming field, though I haven't planned much farther than that. I prefer to look at the opportunities available before committing to any path.

I am majoring in Communications with a minor in Web Design. I plan on pursuing a career based upon my major. Ex. Help companies restructure their outdated websites. I don't know at the present time how I feel towards the subject matter that the class plans on covering. If I had to choose I would say apprehensive because I'm sure that my viewpoint will conflict with others and I don't wish ill feelings to arise from discussions that should primarily be intellectual in nature.
I want to live to be 108, just to address a random part of your post, because I want to see the year 2100. :) Any particular reason you wanted to live to be 100?
My name is Tori LaMendola, and I'm a nursing major as well as a psychology minor. Because of my nursing major, I was required to take this course. Since I am interested in care in the medical field, I believe this class will be intriguing and important. Because I'm a transfer student from Northern Kentucky University and philosophy isn't required, I've never had this type of class before. Therefore, I'm definitely interested to see how it will be. Through my educational career, I hope obtain the knowledge to become a psychiatric nurse and to help others.
Tyler, I don't really have a lot of opinions on the ethics involved in psychology and medicine. I'm hoping this class will allow me to have a better understanding of both sides and maybe help me have a solid stance.
Bekah, I love Thomas More! I took an introductory psychology class in high school and fell in love with the subject. I also took anatomy, and loved that as well. It's pretty much just two things I love in one! (:
I am Will Freibert and I am currently a junior and I study business administration with a concentration in finance. I am in this class because it fulfills my ethics requirement and also the class seemed interesting to me. Some personal goals of mine are to get a good job and raise a family back in Louisville.
My name is Tara LaMendola, and I'm currently in my third year of college. I'm a Nursing major with a Psychology minor. I plan to graduate in 3 years and I'm excited to make a difference in people's lives!
I thought Psychology and Nursing kind of went hand in hand. One of my professors told me that Psychology is a good thing to have because you're surrounded by it. :)
My name is Summer Smith and I’m a sophomore English major. Like most of the people in this class, I’m also taking it to fulfill my Philosophy requirements. I like the fact that this class is one which will contain lots of discussions and debates. I don’t know what to expect from the class itself as far as what we cover, but I look forward to learning more as it seems very interesting. My personal goals include using my English degree to enter into the world of broadcasting, where I may find myself possibly reporting on topics or stories pertaining to what I learn in this class.
My name is Edward Harden, I'm a Chemistry major. I didn't really get to pick my schedule as I was a very last minute enrollment, but this class fulfills my core requirements and seems really interesting thus far.

I'm a nursing major too, as well as a transfer student! To answer the question you asked me, I do like Thomas More much more than NKU. What has made you interested in being a pediatric nurse?
My name is Anthony Wright and I am a marketing major. I decided to choose this class because I needed to take an ethics course and it fits right into my schedule. I plan on graduating in 2015 and to work full time at my current job. I would like to relocate to either Columbus, Lexington, or Louisville when I graduate as well.
My name is Tyler Smith, I'm a junior and my major is biology. I chose this class not only to fulfill this portion of my degree but also because I believe it will help me obtain a better understanding of the other half of my field of study - the side that deals with moral objectives. Instead of pursuing a masters degree right out of college like most of my other peers I have chosen to apply to universities that offer certifications in medical technology. My ultimate career goal though is to work for the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

My name is Rachael Moran and I am a sophomore Elementary Education major. I chose this course to fulfill my philosophy requirements and because the topic itself is interesting to me. I am quite interested in the medical field and ethical matters that relate to it. From this class, I hope to become more educated on this topic and be able to defend my own positions on the matter more clearly in the future.
My name is Maria Hehman, I am a freshman and am currently undecided in my major. I chose this course to fulfill my philosophy requirement and because my dad is in the medical field. I love classes that are discussion based because I feel that a person can learn better that way. I hope to learn from this class more about the medical field and create my own educated opinion on health related matters.
My name is Stephanie Sias and I am a senior educational studies major. I'm in the class because I needed to take an ethics course, and this one seemed the most interesting to me. I expect this course to be fun and I expect to learn a lot. My goal after I graduate is to work for Teach for America, or work in a teaching position elsewhere, where I can help change the lives of low-income elementary school students. Money isn't very important to me, I simply want to help others.
